I see Brian Heming* already pointed this out for his books, but of all the titles I checked that are advertised as "free", none are free unless one has a Kindle Unlimited subscription. 99 cents for a book is still a great deal, however, I am not your attorney but it seems like it would be safer to NOT advertise that a book is "free" and let shoppers find out the price when clicking through. If someone fails to double-check and ends up paying for a book advertised as "free" you might be in trouble.
Sometimes an author makes a mistake. Sometimes I make a mistake. If you feel strongly about it let me know the specifics, and I'll fix it, if I have time. But your time and mine both are better off enjoying Based Books, not worrying about whether they're free or merely $0.99.
Where are the numbers posted? And hell, if the authors did offer outside of Amazon I’d buy one from Amazon as well just to help the rank. Point is, after Amazon pulled the bullshit of I can’t own any ebooks I purchase, I’m not buying any ebooks from it ever again unless it is literally the only place I can purchase it from and I REALLY want to read that particular book.
A long list, much like walking into a bookstore to browse its collection - except the descriptions are all laid out for easy and quick review by the customers. I hope one day to get my books published so they could be added to this list.
The Lives of Velnin: The Dark Empire: A fast-paced epic fantasy adventure of swords, love, magic, and battles *FREE!* is *NOT* free, it's 99 cents. (The free one is The Black Citadel)
The Lives of Velnin: The Black Citadel: A fast-paced epic fantasy of swords, love, magic, and battles. (not labeled as *FREE*, but IS free) (ALSO, I clicked the link, and saw:
#1 in Children's Sword & Sorcery Fantasy Books
#1 in Teen & Young Adult Sword & Sorcery Fantasy eBooks
WOOT! Thanks for getting it y'all! If you bought it, please leave a rating or review!)
As is right and proper, I plowed some of the profits *from* the sale *back into* the sale. I picked up four this time.
How does it make marketing sense to have to scroll WAAAAAAY down to find the new releases??
Aghhhhh due to Family Matters I missed the call for this. 😭But I am so happy to share this for you! I am sorry I missed this, Hans...

No luck getting any books independent of Amazon?
Off Amazon, we don't get to be in the count. One of my books is #31 for this sale. How could I pass that up?

I could start including a note in mine that if you can show purchase, I can send you an off-Kindle copy.
Numbers? Hans sometimes publishes them in a post, sometimes in a note.
A few are. I do allow authors to use off-Amazon or other wide links, but not many take advantage of it.
That’s too bad. Always love to see the sale anyway.
I think "After the Sky" by Milo James Fowler has a bad link, FYI.
it's set the right prize on the 'zon, but goes to a bookfunnel link that's dead instead.
The first line was link to Amazon, the second to an expired Book Funnel link. I've corrected it. THanks.
awesome, you da man.
Here are my reviews of 12 different books in the sale: https://brianheming.substack.com/p/reviews-from-the-black-friday-based
I recommend all of them. Enjoy, and buy some books, free or 99 cents! And if you get some of mine, please leave Amazon ratings or reviews!

We'll keep the light on for you.

Thanks for putting up the sale!
You're welcome. Fixed.
Forgot to circle back after the blurb request. Added now. Thanks for your patience.
